GOSTAN!! Meaning turn around, take another route or turn back...... is commonly used in Malaysia.

The word was actually derived from an English term used mainly in sailing or flying .... 'At or near or toward the stern of a ship or a tail of an aeroplane'

Go Astern --> Goastern --> Gostern --> GOSTAN!!



The next time, try to be a little more sophisticated and say Go Astern when your friend drives into a wrong road..... :)
