Bird Flu, no problem!

Flipping through the papers today, I came upon a disturbing piece of news.

With all these reports day in day out about bird flu deaths, occurences and etc, you'd think people would seriously be very afraid of eating or getting near birds.

Man, when it comes to free stuff, apa apa pun jalan lah!

The article was about free fried chicken being distributed as a way of promoting chicken consumption, so 18 kind enough chicken traders gave 10 birds each as part of the exercise....
Obviously, they've underestimated us malaysian bunch.....
All 180 chickens were gone in 10 minutes...... that works out to be about 1.8 chickens per minute (cpm)..... whoooo the sorry suckers didn't even know what hit them......

To achieve this incredible feat, (I wonder if Ripley's would be interested to know), we, the ever talented Malaysians, use our kungfu learnt from our over-exposure to pirated kungfu DVD/VCD widely available....
Check it out....

We know the chicken-grabbing Tiger Claw.
We know the pick-a-wing Crane move.
We also know, grab-a-bag-and-tapao Shaolin fist.....

Way to go people, Mad cow disease? Bring it on!

The cow test

It's interesting what you find in toilets these days. Toilets at bars and pubs in particular.

This is one I saw at a pub in PJ.....

When you drink, you pee a lot.
When you pee, you look around a lot.
When you look around a lot, you see this poster a lot.
When you see this poster a lot, the cow does start to look 'interesting'....

I stopped drinking that night, when the cow started winking at me.

'Flying down' to Singapore

Last weekend I went down to Singapore, instead of taking a plane, I bought a bus ticket.
But this, my friends, is not any other ordinary cheap-ass bus....

This is the AEROLINE!!!! Their tag line is 'The convenient way to FLY'...... that's what i'm talking about.......

The bus itself is pretty cool too.... partly also because I've never boarded a double decked bus... (jakun betul)....
Anyway, so it's double decked, nice plush seats, LCD screen, and check this out, the lower deck is a lounge with sofa and coffee table, and TV and surround system with DVD players, a small kitchen with sink, and toilet..... Oh, and a kinda cute 'stewardess' that comes around serving food and coffee....

Double decked.... nice to glance at women passengers in other cars below.

A little 'Pimp My Ride' ish...... nice!

They serve pretty good food on the bus as well..... a little like aeroplane meals.... But, thanks to our nice Malaysian bumpy highways, I had to hang on to my two 'fish' BALLS to stop them from falling off.

So, anytime anyone wants to travel down to Singapore, try this out.... (I hope Aeroline people reads this and decides to pay me advertisement fees or something)

What's the best thing about travelling? You get to see different cultures and behaviours, here's a good example, in the neighbouring country's immigration check point, you see
- Nice building, lots of glass, high tech with metal detectors
- Custom officers smartly dressed, polite
- Guards with Machine guns (no kidding)

and when you get back home... you see a customs guy slouched at the seat, eyes half closed, waving everybody past!!!

Still, I love M'sia!!!!

Bicycles and nuts.

I was reading the sports section in the papers one day and I came across this....
the guy looks real happy, probably won some race or something....

But, if you look closely....

Now I wonder if it's the look of joy or is it pain ....

Guys, if you're gonna ride a bike, please, get a bigger seat with nice, soft, spongy cushion....

Handling the fuel price increase.....

It's finally here.... the fuel increase...

To those who're still calculating, it's a nice 10 bucks extra everytime u fill up your proton wira.
So we, the ever adaptable malaysians, should start thinking of ways to save on fuel.

Here's a couple of nice ideas ,
1) Car pool - those of you who have been mean, not shared lunches with your mates, didn't buy your buddies beer, or take them shopping with you or whatever..... you can skip this part.

2) Public transportation - Forgot how it felt to squeeze into a 30 by 8 foot tin can with a 60 ~ 70 people? Can't seem to remember that stinging, acidic smell of a people's underarms on a hot sunny 40C day? Now's a good time to take a walk down memory lane....

3) Turn off your air conditioner while driving - think stinging, acidic smell!!

4) Cycle to work - Malaysian roads are getting more and more dangerous, that is if the potholes and sinkholes and whatever holes we have on our roads don't eat you up yet.

5) Alternative energy for your car (my preference) - some think of electric cars lah, solar cars lah..... for me..... if i could only find 10000 of these hardworking fellows..... i might just make it to work......
